Some may be sceptical that TCS will not charge either the customer or the insurer for this service and that there must be a catch……

My philosophy is to be completely up front re where TCS’s income comes from, hence clarification that we only get paid where one of our partner contractors undertakes repairs.  Our payment is deducted from the final payment that is made to the contractor.

In my experience the vast majority of customers who suffer genuine buildings damage simply wish to have their homes repaired quickly and to a satisfactory standard by a reputable contractor.  If you are one of the small minority of customers looking to exaggerate your claim or try and claim for non insured repairs, then my services will be of no interest to you.

So how does it work?

If you have suffered buildings damage and intend submitting a claim to your insurer, simply contact TCS who will arrange a joint visit with one of our partner contractors, normally within 2 working days.  The same applies if you have already submitted a claim and your insurer has asked you to submit an estimate(s) to them.

We will then arrange for a detailed repair estimate to be posted/emailed to you to enable you to submit this to your insurer for consideration.  At the same time our web based management system will be updated with details of the damage including digital photos and a digital video clip showing the level of buildings damage.  This information will be available to both yourself and your insurer which will assist a speedy decision being made.  A copy of the repair estimate will also be available to view online by the insurer.  

If the insurer is satisfied with the repair estimate, authorisation will be given to proceed with the repairs and arrangements will then be made for the works to be booked in.  Full details of the proposed works together with a full timetable of repairs will be available for you to see and track throughout the works, ensuring full transparency.

Once the repairs have been completed, the customer will be asked to complete a Satisfaction Note which will then activate the 12 month Guarantee and will also enable TCS to invoice the insurer direct.  The insurer will then pay TCS direct, who in turn will pay the contractor to conclude.
